Google Tip.... Making Google your default mail program
Have you ever come across a web site that had an embedded link to email the webmaster? hint: check any of our school web sites for an example.
Have you ever seen an email address in the body of an email, something like jcasavant@rssu.org , and wanted to just click it to send the mail? Well the good news is you can do this with your new Google for education account plus add a nifty little chat client that even pops up notifications when new mail arrives in your mail box! This cool little program is called Google talk. Download the Google Talk client to try it yourself. While this program is already installed on most school computers you can easily add the functionality to your home machine.
After the installation completes choose settings and be sure to check "Start Automatically" and "Open Gmail when I click on email links"
