District Email Lists

Google Tip.... How do I add myself to one of the school email lists?

If you have imported the district address book then you probably have seen the many "All Staff" lists that have been created for your use. The mail you are reading was addressed to a single "All Staff RSSU" address instead of having to add all 300 users. But what if you are not receiving mail from one of the lists you wish to be a part of?

Fear not, you can add yourself! These All Staff lists are actually Google Groups that we are using as email lists. To add yourself to an email list you need only accomplish two tasks.

Create a Google Groups account (just use your full email address and password) Learn more about User Groups
Go to the district web page, select the Google for Education menu item, navigate to Join an All Staff Email Group then click the group you wish to join. When the Groups window opens click "Sign in and Apply for Membership". Be sure to choose "Email" under the section "How do you want to read this group".

That's it.... an email verification will be sent and once you reply to it you will begin receiving mail from your desired group. For more information please visit the Google for Education section at www.rssu.org
