About Groups

Google Groups allow you to easily communicate with other members of the Group. At RSSU we are using Groups as a method to email specific Groups of people. For instance, members of the Group All Staff MRU will receive email messages addressed to that Group. You may join any of the various Groups I have created by clicking its heading on the main Groups page. Your first step however is to create an account with Google Groups. Follow the link HERE to create your own Google Groups Account. The picture below illustrates the screen you will see.....

You will be prompted to enter your email address. Please use your full email address.....

Example: jcasavant@rssu.org, NOT just jcasavant.

Please use the password you created for your email account. After completing the new account page, and accepting their terms and conditions, you will be directed to a welcome page that informs you of a verification being sent to your email account. Return to your email box and open that verification notice. You now have a Groups account! You may close the page prompting you to create a group and instead simply join one of the many groups I have created for you.

With your new Groups account you can join any of our groups just by clicking its name. See the Group listings HERE . Please remember in the future when asked to enter your user name and password for Groups that you need your entire email address, including @rssu.org. When joining a group please choose the email option to ensure that you receive all mail addressed to the group.

If you find you are enrolled in a group that you do not wish to receive mail from you will see a disclaimer at the bottom of mail sent from it. Follow those directions to unsubscribe from the list. As time goes on we will use the Groups format to share information and collaborate with members of the group.

I have already enrolled many of you in at least some groups. From your Groups page you may select "My Groups" to review which Groups you are already enrolled in. Feel free to enroll in as many Groups as you wish. If you see a need for me to add a Group just send an email to Webmaster
