ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION
2009 Most Valuable Student Scholarship

 

January 5, 2009

Awards are based on academic, leadership and financial need. A total of 500 renewable four year scholarships will be awarded with amounts ranging from $4000 - $60,000. Applicants do NOT need to be affiliated with the Elk’s Organization to become a recipient.  Paper applications are available in Student Services.

 

 

NORTHWESTERN VERMONT
VIETNAM VETERANS OF AMERICA (VVA)

The Northwestern Vermont VVA of St. Albans is proud to announce their scholarship grant program is now underway. Two scholarships of $1,500 each will be awarded based on eligibility. Eligible students must request in writing or by e-mail a copy of the application procedures.

BURGER KING SCHOLARS PROGRAM

 

February 2, 2009

$1,000 scholarships are available to all eligible high school seniors who:
Maintain GPA of 2.5 or higher.  Work part-time, an average of 15 hours/week or 40 weeks/year.  Actively involved in community service.  Demonstrate financial need.  Plan to enroll in accredited 2 or 4 year institution of higher learning.

 

 

VSAC SCHOLARSHIPS FOR VERMONTERS

 

March 1, 2009

The VSAC Scholarship booklet is now available in Student Services.  Students are encouraged to pick one up NOW and follow the suggested time-line beginning December 1st.

In order to meet all the January 1st application deadlines, students must notify Mrs. Munson on or before December 3rd that an application will be due.  This only allows us 2 weeks to mail out all the school reports before the holiday break.

Request forms are available now in Student Services.  NOW is the time to make such requests. This allows the teacher and guidance counselor plenty of time to write the letter.  Most commonly two teacher letters and one guidance letter will suffice.  All letters that are generated from MRU are confidential.
